Remember the Garlic Butter I made from this previous recipe? Well if you get your hands on some chicken breast fillets and use a rolling pin to completely flatten them, and then place a stick of that garlic butter on the chicken before rolling it and folding the flatten chicken edges on its sides (and then refrigerating the chicken for at least 30 minutes). Then, beat 2 eggs and 2 tbsp of milk together, and then coat chicken in plain flour, dip in egg mixture, coat with breadcrumbs, and then dip in egg mixture again and coat with breadcrumbs again just to make sure… and then deep fry it, you get a Chicken Kiev! Serve with a simple rocket leaves and cherry tomatoes salad tossed in balsamic dressing and you get quite a fulfilling, simple weeknight family dinner.
Sorry about this short post, it’s just one of those dishes I often take for granted. It’s too common, but I keep forgetting the best things in life are the simplest things π

My holocaust lecturer once made a joke about chicken kiev. She said there are three bad things related to kiev: the chernobyl, the mass murder at babi yar and chicken kiev. I still don't get what it means by chicken kiev being bad and got even confused after reading this post. It looks lovely.

I absolutely love Chicken Kiev. My mother made it for me one time when I was a child and said it took to long so she never made it again. I've had it several times at restaurants, but I've been dying to make it for myself! Thanks for sharing!

Oh, chicken kiev. My Mom always used to make those for us when we were little, but we would have the ones from the bag…hahaha.I'd LOVE to try making those from scratch – I don't know that Marcus has ever had one and I'm sure that the result would just be delish!

I've had darjeeling, earl grey, and matcha flavored ice creams. They're all pretty delicious. Earl Grey's nice 'cause of that hint of citrus in addition to the tea. Your looks like it turned out really well.

I took the 12:00 Old city tour. There is modern city tour at 16:00, too.The guide was a friendly due with typical Ukrainian pronunciation, that is well understood yet. He brought in good info all the time and kept conversing with the diverse group that we were. Moreover, he helped me plan well the time needed for my return, as I had a flight to catch.I recommend joining these tours, as you can always have a walk around the sites, but it is much, much better learning more about them by a guide, that has lived there and can bring some personal stories, too.We discovered with http://www.privatetoursinistanbul.com and we highly suggest to anyone whom would like to visit that site.
