One of the things I enjoy most about working in digital is helping people bring their ideas to life online. A website can be such an important tool, especially for small businesses and community groups that want a simple way for people to learn more about what they do.
Recently I had the pleasure of building two very different websites, one for a naturopathy clinic and the other for a local community band. Different audiences, different needs, but both projects were equally rewarding to work on.
Ailm Naturopathy
Ailm Naturopathy is run by Emily, a passionate naturopath who wanted a clean, calm online space where people could learn about her approach to health and easily book appointments.

The goal for this website was to keep things simple, welcoming and informative, while also making sure it was practical for everyday use.
Key pages and features included:
Home Page
A clear introduction to Emily and the philosophy behind Ailm Naturopathy, with an overview of services and an easy pathway to book appointments.
About Page
A space for Emily to share her background, qualifications and personal approach to naturopathy.
Services Page
Detailed descriptions of the types of consultations and treatments available.
Booking Integration
A direct link to Emily’s online booking system so clients can easily schedule appointments.
Contact Page
Simple contact information along with directions for getting in touch.
Mobile-friendly design
Ensuring the website works smoothly on phones, tablets and desktop devices.
The overall feel of the site was designed to be calming and natural, reflecting the holistic nature of Emily’s work.
Lakes and Craters Band Camperdown
www.lakesandcratersbandcamperdown.com
This project was a little closer to home as it’s a community group based in our region.
The Lakes and Craters Band Camperdown wanted a website that could serve as a central hub for members, potential new musicians and the wider community.
Key pages and features included:
Home Page
An overview of the band, upcoming activities and a welcoming introduction for new members.
About the Band
Information about the band’s history, purpose and community involvement.
Join the Band
Details for anyone interested in becoming a member, including the types of instruments involved.
Instrument Hire Information
A section explaining how people can hire instruments through the band.
Events and Performances
A place to highlight upcoming performances and community appearances.
Contact Page
Details for enquiries from potential members, event organisers or community groups.
The aim here was to create a friendly and informative website that reflects the spirit of a community band, something approachable and easy for people of all ages to navigate.
Bringing Websites to Life
Every website build is a little different, depending on what the client needs and who the audience is. Some need online bookings and service information, while others need a space to connect a community.
But at the heart of every project is the same goal: creating something that helps people share what they do with the world.
It’s always satisfying to see a website go live and start working for the people behind it.
