I know I haven’t written much lately, and boy do I have updates! In the past couple of months, we got ourselves two calves – Gum and Flower – and 4 additional laying hens, which brings our total number of chooks to 7.

Gum and Flower have settled into our paddock very nicely, and the extra chooks took a while to settle in because the original 3 were bullies.. but now they all seem to get along just fine. Sadly, extra hens have not meant extra eggs. We are still only getting 2-3 eggs each day, but I think the weather has something to do with it – they just don’t lay eggs as much in winter apparently?

We have also been on an amazing 2-week vacation to Malaysia and just got back last week. It was a great trip, celebrating my dad’s 70th birthday and catching up with family and friends. I will blog more about our trip soon! Gotta go cook dinner… not much has changed lol. Still living life as the juggling mum, but very exciting to be doing it in our farm ❤
