3-Night Comedy Cruise, Melbourne

Back in December 2022 (yes, I know… taking backposting to the next level here!) we celebrated our 15-year wedding anniversary by going on a 3-nights Comedy Cruise from Melbourne to… Melbourne 😂 It was the perfect short getaway with P & O Cruises and we cannot recommend it enough. Sure, it doesn’t have all the fancy dining options etc.. but for 3 nights, we relaxed and enjoyed the shows and relaxed and drank cocktails and relaxed and.. you get it lol. To summarize, here are excerpts from my Instagram posts!

Day One: We had lunch, then drinks, then dinner, then saw the Rock Show (so awesome!) then saw the Comedy Show (laughter is truly the best therapy) while drinking some more, then ordered some pizza, then danced a little at the White Party 😍

Internet is pretty bad, I don’t even know if this will post but oh well here goes!

Day Two: We had breakfast, had a nice morning soak in the spa at The Oasis (Adults Only Zone), I ended up chatting to an old dude named Terry for like an hour out on the deck while hubby went to the gym 😂 but I didn’t mind because it was such a nice day to sit outside in the sun! He was a very interesting fella who had SO much to share about his travels and life experiences.. including raising his kids in a farm / 12 acre property! Definitely got a lot of tips from him about what to do with our future 6 acre property. We drank cocktails, then had lunch out by the pool area but under the shade lol. Then, we went to a dodgy health seminar – at first it was all about how to avoid neck/shoulder/back pains etc.. then it became a BLOODY SALES PITCH for a $249 foot stabiliser 🤦🏻‍♀️ we were out of there so quick lol. Then we played BINGO which was so much fun!! I got to stand up TWICE because I was one number away from Bingo twice! So entertaining, gonna do it again tomorrow 😂 then we took a nap (I know right, SO CHILL best relaxing holiday ever), then went out to dinner at The Waterfront restaurant, then saw the Comedy Gala show, and finally played some poker.

On a side note, the Internet connection I got only allows me access to photos and text on FB and Instagram and WhatsApp etc.. but nothing else 😂 video uploads take forever, no Internet browsing, no YouTube or Netflix, no voice or video calls, no other apps – not even Smule! Oh.. which meant I could not top up our parking app back for our car back in Port Melbourne.. we were supposed to top it up $5 each day because it could only take DAILY parking rates, not multiple days in one hit. Ugh.. so we will be hit with a $88 parking penalty when we get back 🤦🏻‍♀️ oh well 🤷🏻‍♀️ (P/S: Turns out because the physical parking meters were not working, no one got any fines so parking was essentially free that weekend lol)

Oh and we got to dress up for #GatsbyNight!

A summary of our final 24 hours on the Pacific Explorer 😍 what a great trip this was for us. We are all refreshed and ready to face the next 6 months.. which I am sure will be crazy and chaotic!
