I didn’t take more than just the one photo you see at the top of this post, but I have always been a huge fan of Sri Lankan cuisine, their beautifully balanced and spicy curries, and of course, hoppers. Upali’s one place in Melbourne where you can get quality, authentic, Sri Lankan food. It’s not for the faint-hearted though, most of the dishes at any good Sri Lankan restaurant is spicy af! Unless you eat plain hoppers of course.. which seems to be the case for the kids.
Must Try: Three words. Spicy Buttered Cuttlefish. Flavoursome, delicious textures and amazingly moreish. Also try the Tempered Eggplant and Mutton Curry. So many wonderful dishes here to try! I need to go back soon, hehe. Here are some additional photos from their website:
