I had a 13-hour transit at KLIA airport before flying to Perth early the next morning, so instead of “roughing it” I decided to splurge on a comfortable stay at Sama Sama Hotel. Located conveniently just across the skybridge from KLIA, this hotel absolutely exceeds the standards of all the other hotels within the airport vicinity. I just wish it wasn’t the pandemic because a lot of the shared facilities were closed, and I also wish I had more time to enjoy the restaurants and bars onsite.

Nevertheless, it was the perfect layover for me. I put on a comfortable hotel robe, and ordered room service for dinner. The Nasi Lemak I ordered was delicious, my last Malaysian food fix in Malaysia for a while.. 😭 I had a great sleep on the hotel bed, and the concierge woke me up so I didn’t miss my early morning flight. It was easy enough to walk to the airport the next morning, but this time I took advantage of the buggy service and was “driven” to the terminal VIP style.
