No.7 in Healesville is an urban winery, cellar door, restaurant and event space dedicated to fostering the next generation of Australian winemakers. We celebrated my birthday recently here at the restaurant, and had the two-course set lunch at $60pp.

We started off with a glass of Pinot Noir and the estate Syrah. I was very happy with the Pinot Noir and bought a souvenir bottle to take home, as you do! The two-course set lunch offered a starter, main and shared sides – with a seasonal menu that’s constantly changing.

Writing this blog post over a month later, unfortunately the menu has already been updated and I can barely remember what we had exactly. Blog fail! All I do remember was that the dishes were full of fresh summer flavours and were quite fulfilling and satisfying. Hubby wasn’t too impressed with the sides, and he felt everything had too much vinegar.

Either way, the restaurant itself was gorgeous and had a great vibe and the staff were professional and very accommodating. It is truly one of Healesville’s finest venues and must be included in your list of places to visit in the area.
