Great Barrier Reef, Queensland

A couple of months ago, I spent a whole week in tropical Cairns with a group of friends for my friend’s 40th birthday… all by myself, no husband, no kids. It was BLISS, haha! The main reason why I travelled by myself without them (even though they were also invited to come on this trip) was because we were also going to be travelling to the UK just a month later.. so financially, it just wasn’t feasible for our entire family to be doing TWO big and expensive trips back to back. Lucky for me, I get to go anyway… because how could I not go for one of my best friend’s 40th RIGHT?!!

So, while I was on this trip – we went on a little adventure with a boat tour company, Passions of Paradise. It was an all day trip, 8 hours, lunch inclusive on a boat where they take you to all the hot spots for scuba diving and snorkelling around the Great Barrier Reef. Oh, what a spectacular experience! I was really nervous about scuba diving because it was going to be my first time, and in the end I was still nervous doing it, but I am so glad I did it. It was just incredible being underwater and seeing all the coral and sea creatures up close like that. I will let these pictures tell the rest of the story, I’m just so blessed to live in this beautiful country we call Australia! Lol just so much to do, so much to see, so many wonderful things!
