Food, travel and farm life from the Great Ocean Road

Lau Pa Sat, Singapore

1–2 minutes

If you love food, Lau Pa Sat has to be on your Singapore list. It really is the best kind of overwhelm: sooo much food, and lots of amazing food. From Singapore street food to various types of cuisine from all over the world – there is literally something for everyone!

Lunch number one

Our first course was a satay platter, and it was delicious! We had pork belly, chicken, squid and prawns, with peanut sauce and chilli for dipping. Then came more plates: roast meats, chicken rice, noodles and a crispy oyster omelette. Yum!

Lunch number two

For our second lunch at Lau Pa Sat, these pork noodles were amazing! The noodles were flavoursome and bouncy, the soup was full of flavour too, and the minced pork especially tasted exactly like the minced pork I grew up eating. I washed it all down with a lime juice, which was so refreshing in the heat.

Lau Pa Sat by night

On our way back to the hotel one evening we walked past again, and Lau Pa Sat looks so nice at night, all lit up with its clock tower glowing between the skyscrapers.

Have you been to Lau Pa Sat? Tell me your must-order stall, because I’m already planning lunch number three.
