Here’s a little throwback to last December! The silly season has well and truly started, and with it comes all the end of year catch-ups. I’m feeling so grateful for these moments with good people around a table, and this one was at Tokar Estate in the Yarra Valley.
Isn’t that courtyard gorgeous? The tall cypress trees and the fountain out the front make you feel like you’ve stepped somewhere much further away than the Yarra Valley.

What we ate
Inside, the dining room is bright and relaxed. We shared a feast of mains: grilled fish with a fresh tomato salsa, duck with a rich glossy jus, a chargrilled steak on the bone, and crispy pork belly.

And you can’t forget the potatoes, layered and golden in their own little skillet.

A beautiful way to start the feasting season. More catch-up posts to come!
