Char Siu Chicken Wings Recipe

I will be away in Sydney for the next three days and obviously won’t be cooking / blogging at all, but I will be going to 2 accomplished restaurants in Sydney so I’m hoping to post some great reviews and great photos here when I get back πŸ™‚
In the mean time, I thought I’d leave you with these wonderful chicken wings – great as nibbles or finger food, or serve for dinner with salad and chips!
Ingredients:
1kg chicken wings
3 tbsp char siu sauce
2 tbsp water
1 tsp chopped garlic
1 tsp hot chilli spice blend
1 tsp sesame oil
2 stalks of spring onion, thinly sliced
I suppose the “core ingredient” here (other than the wings themselves) is the Char Siu Sauce. Here’s a close up of the sauce so you know which one to get.
Method:
In a bowl, combine the char siu sauce, water, garlic, chilli, sesame oil and spring onion to form a marinade. Add the chicken wings into the bowl and mix together with the marinade. Marinate in the fridge for at least 2 hours.
To cook, spray the surface of a baking tray with cooking oil and place wings on the baking tray. Cook in preheated oven at 180C for 30 minutes.

Serve hot! Yummy yum yum… πŸ™‚

  1. Oh fun!! I've never quite known what to do with that LKK char siu sauce. I love marinated chicken wings so I will have to try this soon. So good with just rice and a green vegie.
