We have been so fortunate to have stayed at this farm stay a couple of times over this summer, thanks to hubby doing some onsite work in the area (yes, which means free accommodation!). He has been travelling back and forth to Port Campbell quite a bit, and most of the time he would stay in a motel at Port Campbell. However, occasionally the motel gets booked out and that’s when the owner of the motel would then offer him their AirBnB property – this beautiful Farm Stay on the Valley, in Newfield. Located just 7 mins drive from Port Campbell this place is simply serene and peaceful, and very comfortable with plenty of space and everything we need. We were able to tag along and stay here during school holidays recently, and the kids love it. I especially love it for the more spacious kitchen (dining options are very limited in the area so I still mostly cook for our meals) and the more spacious TV / lounge area. It’s just more spacious in general compared to the usual Port Campbell motel accommodation. Plus, the kids get to see the farm’s resident alpacas up-close everyday. What more could you ask for?

This farm stay is not a true “farm” in a sense, it’s just a very private and laid back place where you can unwind and enjoy some peace and quiet, with some birds and a few alpacas hanging around. You are within short driving distance to Port Campbell and Timboon, so you have easy access to food and other supplies. Of course, there’s the Great Ocean Road. We ventured out to Loch Ard Gorge and drove all the way to Princetown where we found a camping site with a lake. We didn’t get to see other attractions e.g. The Twelve Apostles, Gibsons Steps, etc because the kids were too bothered by the swarming flies. Maybe next time when it’s not the peak of summer! We spend most of our time at the Port Campbell foreshore, where there’s a great safe beach for the kids and a popular fishing pier.
