Week 47: There’s Not Enough Days in the Week!

Yesterday, while I was down with a cold and had to cancel a visit to a friend’s place to meet her new baby, I had too much time to think about all the things I want to do during the week and all the people I would love to catch up with… the only problem is, there is not enough days in the week to do it all! I found myself torn between wanting to do nothing, and wanting to do everything. It was a very annoying thought and eventually I just had to let it go… I cannot catch … Continue reading Week 47: There’s Not Enough Days in the Week!

Week 46: Aunty Pearly Is In Town

This week has been huge – so huge that I have to rush through this blog post so I can get ready for dinner before Micah wakes up from his afternoon nap. We are off to a family dinner at a local restaurant in Berwick to celebrate 4 birthdays in the family. Busy busy!! My sister is of course in Melbourne this week. Everyday has been shopping shopping shopping… Sunday we had a BBQ at a friend’s place. Dinner that night was Chinese takeaway. Monday we shopped at Fountain Gate and she cooked dinner. Tuesday we went into the city … Continue reading Week 46: Aunty Pearly Is In Town

Kitchen Inn: Sarawak Food in Melbourne!

As many of you know, I am originally from Kuching, Sarawak in Malaysia. I have lived in Melbourne for almost 7 years and have been a food blogger for 2.5 years. During these many years, I have NEVER had Kolo Mee in Melbourne (unless I can be bothered to cook it at home myself), because as far as I was aware, there was no such thing as Kolo Mee in Melbourne! That is, until today. Gee news travel fast! Kitchen Inn @ 469 Elizabeth St, Melbourne was just opened last week. Already, news about this new restaurant offering popular Sarawak cuisine … Continue reading Kitchen Inn: Sarawak Food in Melbourne!

Daily Routine at 10 Months

By now, Micah and I have established a pretty solid daily routine. It is not fixed to a specific time everyday, it does depend on what time he wakes up in the morning, but it is pretty accurate within plus/minus 30 minutes. Below is a typical example of what Micah does everyday – this is a typical STAY HOME routine, and we are hardly at home all day these days, but if you substitute the various “Play Time” with Grocery Shopping, Running Errands, Lunch Date, Play Date, Shopping Date, Mums Group, Walking, etc that should work. Whenever I have to … Continue reading Daily Routine at 10 Months

Week 45: Getting Ready for a Massive Week

Micah and I better get as much sleep as we can this week, because starting this Saturday the whole of next week is going to be a massive, huge, busy, crazy week for us…. because my sister Pearly will be in town!!! She is only in Melbourne for a week, so it will be a crazy week of shopping and going out every single day. We also have a few functions and events happening! Starting Saturday afternoon at our church Flower Show, followed by Saturday night I’m off to the city to do a Progressive Dinner for one of my … Continue reading Week 45: Getting Ready for a Massive Week

Baby Food Movers by Smash Enterprises

Recently I was introduced to a new range of Baby Food Movers products by Smash Enterprises, the latest eco friendly lunch product range for busy parents on the move. The marketing team representing Smash has asked if I would be interested to review the products, and being a busy mum myself with a hectic social calendar week after week, I thought why not! I was given a sample of the Food Tub Tray, which I absolutely love because it allows for convenient portion control with its little sized containers. It is very difficult to find small containers with a leak … Continue reading Baby Food Movers by Smash Enterprises

Week 44: Tis the Season for Walks and a Dance Video

Micah and I went out for a walk today (and we even made a new friend while we were out, but that is a different story) and last night, we went out for a walk together as a family when hubby got home from work. I love daylight savings, because it went we get extra daylight at night so we get to enjoy those family walks. The weather is getting warmer and warmer too, so it is definitely an opportunity to take more steps during the day and try to be healthy by doing lots of walking. While I’ve been … Continue reading Week 44: Tis the Season for Walks and a Dance Video

Week 43: Summer Days… :-)

Today the temperature is set to soar up to 29 degrees. 29 degrees! For the first time in a long time, Micah went to sleep last night without the heater on (although eventually it got pretty cold later in the night so I got up at 2.30am to turn the heater on for him anyway) and he’s been dresssed in cute shorts and T-shirts all week. I am lovin’ it! I love seeing him dressed in shorts and T-shirts, makes him look like a little person. Wait, that doesn’t make any sense because he IS a little person! Ohh he … Continue reading Week 43: Summer Days… 🙂
