Playdate… and a Photo Shoot Of Course!

Micah and I had a fun day today. My friend Nat and her little girl Hannah, who is 10 weeks younger than Micah, came over for a playdate. Of course, I somehow managed to easily convince Nat to “lend me” her daughter as a subject for my camera for the day, lol. Hannah is a lot more cooperative than Micah, mostly because she doesn’t move quite as quickly as he does (although she will catch up VERY soon at the rate she’s going!) and I love how cute little girls can get all dressed up and look really pretty for … Continue reading Playdate… and a Photo Shoot Of Course!

Soaking Up The Sun

We love the warmer weather and have been spending more time out on the deck, soaking up the sun and breathing fresh air. Of course I see this as an opportunity for more outdoor shots, hehe. And later that day… I took a few more shots but got really frustrated because Micah just won’t keep still. I think I will give this whole photo-taking business a bit of a break so Micah can get his groove back. Maybe he was trying to tell me “enough mum… just let me be for a few days” lol. I’m really starting to enjoy … Continue reading Soaking Up The Sun

Seasons Chinese Restaurant, Berwick

Photo Credit: http://www.seasonschineserestaurant.com.au There used to be a pretty bad Chinese restaurant just around the corner from my house. The food there was really bland, and the restaurant interior really needed a facelift, and it was just really bad quality Chinese food. That restaurant was the “old” Seasons Chinese Restaurant. Just a few weeks ago, Seasons re-opened under its new management. The interior finally got its facelift it deserved, and they actually hired a chef that CAN cook Chinese food. In fact, the chef is Malaysian Chinese (we rock!) so that is even better. It has been a long time … Continue reading Seasons Chinese Restaurant, Berwick

Hubby’s First Father’s Day

My two very special boys… love them both so much! ❤ It is Father’s Day today in Australia, I said in Australia because I know a lot of other countries celebrate Father’s Day in June! So people all around the world on Twitter would probably be all confused and wondering why we Aussies constantly tweet “Happy Father’s Day” today, well because it IS today. First Sunday of September. That’s our Father’s Day. It’s weird like that, but that’s how it is haha. This weekend is also the first weekend of spring, so we were greeted by beautiful sunshine and warm … Continue reading Hubby’s First Father’s Day

Groupon’s All-You-Can-Eat Tapas for Two ($39) at Equinox Cafe Bar, Melbourne CBD

Recently, Groupon had a great deal for All-You-Can-Eat tapas at Equinox Cafe Bar right next to Melbourne Central. My friend thought it would be good for us to try that out, and then go to Max Brenner after, so we ventured out into the city today and made a lovely afternoon out of it. The deal of course came with a whole lot of Fine Print, mostly to protect the restaurant from food wastage. To me they were fair enough e.g. 90-minute seating time (although you can stay longer if you want, just can’t order anymore food), only ordering 2 … Continue reading Groupon’s All-You-Can-Eat Tapas for Two ($39) at Equinox Cafe Bar, Melbourne CBD

Fountain Gate Fresh Food Section, Shopping before 9am, Picnic, Timomatic.

In the past few months, I’ve been doing my food and everyday shopping at the new and improved Fountain Gate. Everything I need is right next to each other at the Fountain Gate Fresh Food Section up on Level 2 of the shopping centre. Coles, Breadtop, Fish Pier, Fruit and Veg Shop.. and a plentiful of butchers in case I need to get some meat and can’t be bothered going to Tasman Meats. It is so convenient to just go to one place and get all the shopping done without hopping in and out of the car to get from … Continue reading Fountain Gate Fresh Food Section, Shopping before 9am, Picnic, Timomatic.

Week 38: Sleeping Through, No Night Feeds, Modelling Agency Update, Free Standing.

It has been 4 nights in a row now since I’ve weaned Micah off night feeds, and I think it’s going well. He has really only “slept through the night” on the 2nd night. Other nights he will wake up in the middle of the night and start crying, probably asking for a feed, but I have left him there to cry until he resettles himself. Sounds terrible, I know.. but he doesn’t cry for more than 5-10 minutes and goes right back to sleep. I keep thinking if I did go in there it would make things worse, him … Continue reading Week 38: Sleeping Through, No Night Feeds, Modelling Agency Update, Free Standing.

La Zuppa’s The Flavour Judging Event @ The Botanical, South Yarra VIC

A few days ago, I was lucky enough to be invited to attend the La Zuppa’s The Flavour event and be on the judging panel for a new flavour of soup. La Zuppa recently organised a competition for people to submit ideas for a new soup flavour to add to their range of exciting soup products. From over 2,000+ entries the Top 5 were selected and we got to taste them all and vote for our favourite! The event was attended by 6 food bloggers aka Aussie “foodies” such as myself, and the rest were pretty much expert marketers of … Continue reading La Zuppa’s The Flavour Judging Event @ The Botanical, South Yarra VIC
